GT Fisher Playground

By  |

There are lots of small and medium-sized playgrounds at Victor Harbor. Most are along the foreshore, making it a easy to do “playground hopping” with the kids on their bikes or scooters.

The main playground, GT Fisher Playground, is right infront of Warland Reserve on the foreshore. There is often a fairground operating right next to it, with a ferris wheel, dodgem cars, sideshow games and other small rides. The main playground boasts the following features:

  • fully fenced (be aware the gates are meant to automatically close behind you but often don’t, so please check these are shut when you enter and leave to ensure little kids don’t follow you out accidentally)
  • large grassed area with seating and bbq facilities alongside
  • close to toilets
  • close to the main cafe area for that much-needed coffee!
  • features the engine of a train for kids to climb in and explore
  • has a range of playing equipment to suit toddlers through to about age eight
  • alongside the coast
  • shaded by huge pine trees but does not have a shade sail
