Dance in the purple rain

You know it is Spring when South Australia is bathed in deep purple all thanks to jacarandas when they come into bloom. A beautiful sea and flower trail of the colour purple is on the ground .. so if you want your purple rain fix head to North Adelaide as a key jacaranda hot spot as well as the inner-city suburbs of Dulwich, Burnside, Mitcham, Unley and Toorak Gardens. Weekend markets

The sun sometimes beats us to our alarm so take the opportunity and rise and shine, grab the shopping bags and pick your favourite (or explore a new favourite) market in Adelaide. Markets are so much fun to add into your weekly shop and eat your way through by sampling the delicious treats especially with the South Australian produce we have in our great state.

In the Adelaide CBD; you can’t beat the Adelaide Central Markets for a journey of culinary delights with over 80 stalls, live cooking demonstrations, tours and great eateries to complete your market experience.

Just on the city fringe is the Adelaide Showground Farmer’s Market at the Adelaide Showgrounds which is always popular among families. There are plenty of activities to keep the kids busy including cooking classes, art tables and face painting. It is open every Sunday, 9am-1pm.

Fancy a Spring drive – then Stirling Laneway Markets are always a good choice and be sure to check out the city fringe markets Plant 4 Bowden. The inner Plant Floor fills up with local stallholders each with something delicious and inventive to offer, our in-house eateries are open and our spacious interior spills out onto the Bowden Park where there’s plenty of seating to enjoy some of the tastiest food around in a spot of sun.
