Looking for a relaxing place to eat out with the kids? The Seacliff Surf Life Saving club is one of my all time faves. My hubby and I visit this regularly (most Friday nights actually!), and can voucher for the awesome food, extremely friendly service and relaxed atmosphere. We actually love it so much we had our wedding reception here! Once you visit, you’ll understand why….. the view! Overlooking the white Seacliff sand and looking out across the ocean, you get a terrific sunset view.
We often go here with friends who have children (of all ages) and the layout and atmosphere of the surf club really suits families. Kids can roam relatively freely through the unpretentious layout, and with a large balcony extending out over the beach you can watch older kids on the beach while you enjoy a beverage! The tables are spread far enough apart for kids to move between and there’s also couches and high tables if you prefer to go for a bowl of chips and some drinks after a day at the beach, rather than a meal.
One thing we love is that there’s plenty of parking and, because it’s away from the bustle that other beaches such as Brighton, Glenelg and Henley Beach have, the Seacliff Surf Life Saving Club is an ideal place to throw down some great food at very good prices.
I highly recommend this place and my only tip is that you should book a table if you plan to go for an evening meal as it’s getting more and more popular, especially on Friday nights. Make sure you check out the opening times below. Enjoy the meals- we particularly like the squid rings & house made curry!
