Located on Oaklands Road (corner of Hendrie Street), Park Holme, this is one of my favourite swimming locations. Facilities include:
- New speed slide: Our new, speedy, water slide is ready to be tested and is 70m long! The tower rises up to a 10m platform, where users ride through a 15m enclosed tunnel with spectacular translucent colour bands. The tunnel rounds the corner and changes to an anti-clockwise downward spiral of open air slide for the remainder of the ride. The ride concludes when the rider splashes in to the run-out trough.
- New shade umbrellas: New umbrellas have been installed around popular areas so more users can enjoy shade throughout the hot summer and protection from inclement weather.
- An 8-lane Olympic Pool that has an inflatable obstacle for kids to enjoy during the school holidays
- Learner and Toddler Pools that are heated, fully shaded and offer a sun-safe respite for younger children and toddlers.
Located at Ethel Street, Forestville, the Unley outdoor pool offers two smaller pools for the little ones. The junior pool with a minimum depth of 0.7m and a maximum depth of 0.85m is the home of the Unley Swim School and also a great location for birthday parties. The smaller toddler’s pool with a minimum depth of 0.6m and maximum depth of 0.75m is a great spot for the really little ones. Both pools are fully shaded and have numerous seating options along with a shaded grass area next to the toddler pool. There is also the Olympic size swimming pool.
Located on the corner Greenhill Rd & Howard Tce, Hazelwood Park, this is a beautiful pool that has recently had a revamp. Facilities include an 8-lane lap pool, Learner’s Pool and Toddler’s Pool. The Learner’s Pool features underwater observation windows down the deeper end with new mosaic artwork to view from inside the pool. The pool has stepped entry with a sloped depth from 0.7 to 0.9 metres with shade over part of the pool. The Toddler’s Pool, has new interactive play equipment and is covered by a shade, with a depth that starts as beach entry and slopes to 0.4 metres.
