How awesome is this giant Glenelg Ferris Wheel now open at The Bay and with a recently extended season until 24th February! Kids in Adelaide have checked it out and the whole family LOVED it!

The kids LOVED the Giant Glenelg Ferris Wheel

The SkyLine Attractions Observation Wheel (the real name for this super cool wheel) is the tallest travelling, portable observation wheel in Australia, at 35 metres high, with 24 gondolas that seat up to 144 people at capacity (including 1 accessible gondola). Up to 6 people can fit in each gondola (although 6 large adults will be a very tight fit!) and it makes a super fun family outing, or holiday highlight with friends.

While the photos and whole experience was excellent during the day time, visit at night and you’ll be treated to a gorgeous photo opportunity with the wheel holding more than 9,000 lights – hello Instagram?!

Now Open right near Glenelg Jetty (you can’t miss it!), the wheel will be running from 9.30am to 9pm daily, now until February 24th, so make sure you get down there to visit and check it out for yourselves. While you’re there be sure to factor in some time to visit the great Glenelg Foreshore Playground right next door as well.

Tickets will are $10 each or better yet, grab a friend and you can fill a whole gondola for just $30 (fits up to 6 people). Tickets can be purchased on site on the day and just launched, you can now also purchase online HERE. Each ride lasts around 12 minutes which is enough to go around 4-5 times based on our experience – plenty of time to enjoy the view and get a few selfies with the kids!
