From prelaunch to liftoff to the lunar landing – it took four days for the Apollo 11 crew to make it to the Moon from Earth.

You can celebrate the Apollo 50th anniversary at the Adelaide Planetarium over two days

Session times:
20th July – 11am & 3pm
21st July – 11am, 1pm & 3pm

They will recreate the events of this historic landing in the dome of the Adelaide Planetarium with immersive visualizations.

Tour the landing location where the ‘Eagle’ landed on the moon. Learn what the rocks taught us about the Moon. How to observe the Moon and how to find the location where the ‘Eagle’ landed in the Sea of Tranquility with just binoculars.

The sessions will also include, for the first time in the Adelaide Planetarium, the screening of MOON 2019 – Fulldome tribute Apollo 11 Mission.
