Animal Experiences in Adelaide

By  |

My daughter LOVES animals! ALL animals. From her “fur-brother” Frank the Dachshund, to the birds that she feeds in our yard, the bugs she collects and talks to, to the worms she loves finding under rocks. Give her an animal, and she’s happy. We’re so lucky that Adelaide has so many fantastic animal experiences for kids of all ages. Of course we’ve got the ones that everyone knows like the Pandas at Adelaide Zoo and giraffe feeding at Monarto but did you know about all the great Farm Stays available not too far from the city, or places like The Farm Barn up in the Adelaide Hills where you can really get up close and cuddle your favourite farm animals.

We’re also REALLY looking forward to the reopening of Warrawong Wildlife Sanctuary in 2018. A place I remember visiting when I was young, and a place I can’t wait to take my daughter to hopefully catch a glimpse of an elusive platypus!

Animal Experiences at Adelaide Zoo

Adelaide Zoo offers exciting opportunities for you to get even closer to some of your favourite animal friends.  You could experience the thrill of hand feeding Giant Pandas, helping hippos with their daily mouth check or entering the Squirrel Monkey home to feed them… plus much more!  Adelaide Zoo keeper presentations are also a great free way to meet our animals and their carers.
